Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: March 2026

Purpose

AgentPing exists for one purpose: to help AI agents reach their human operators when something important needs attention. Every feature we build and every policy we set is designed to support this use case — and only this use case.

Permitted Use

  • Sending alerts from your AI agents to your own verified phone numbers.
  • Escalation of time-sensitive, actionable information (approvals, deadlines, errors, anomalies).
  • Automated notification workflows where the recipient is the account holder.

Prohibited Use

  • No third-party calling: You may not use AgentPing to call or text anyone other than yourself (the account holder with verified numbers).
  • No marketing or outreach: AgentPing is not a marketing tool. No promotional, advertising, or sales messages.
  • No robocalling: Automated dialing of third-party numbers is strictly prohibited.
  • No spam: Sending excessive, repetitive, or unwanted alerts — even to yourself — that serve no legitimate purpose.
  • No abuse of escalation: Using persistent_critical severity for non-critical events to bypass quiet hours or attention filters.
  • No circumvention: Attempting to bypass rate limits, verification requirements, or other safety controls.

Enforcement

We monitor for abuse patterns. Violations of this policy may result in:

  • Temporary rate limiting or alert throttling.
  • Suspension of API access.
  • Permanent account termination for serious or repeated violations.
